STILLNESS

One of the greatest challenges that most of us face in recent times is the inability to be refreshed after a lot of mental and physical exertions have been given to out to the tedious tasks we find ourselves doing in our busy lives, thus we crumble beneath the load of works from around us, and the truth is the more weary we become, the less our level of effectiveness.
There are a lot of people out there who functions very well under pressure, but that's not what I am talking about. I really am talking about those who have been famished and are parched out because they have given out too much to their work and have no place where they get the necessary supplies to carry them on in the next challenge of their lives. Now let me paint this picture:
Imagine a water pipe connected to a source that supplies it with water, just so it can disseminate it at the other end. You and I both know that it is impossible for the pipe to supply more than it receives per time, and also, it is impossible for it to keep supplying water if it is shut off from the source, therefore there has to be a proportionality between the amount and rate of water being supplied and that being given out so that an equilibrium is attained.
Now the truth is every leader (and by that i mean everyone) is designed to be like that pipe in our illustration, such that we cannot give out more than we receive or have or have per time. any attempt to do that will cause us to crumble beneath our burden and find it hard to meet up with our daily responsibilities on the long run. Therefore it is important for us to know how to keep up with our source just so we can stay sane and healthy.

The no.1 key (among many other keys i will discuss with you is) STILLNESS.
This is simply staying calm, nothing more, nothing less. there's something about laying still that brings about sanity to its guests. stillness gives you strength and peace and help you become replenished. If you are a leader (or are planning to be one), you really need to learn this skill just so you can survive.
Find a place where it is going to be you and yourself alone. Sit still and ease your mind off work. Listen to cool music and explore the beauty of nature. You might call it vacation. Now the problem with that is you still get to do somethings, but what I'm saying is that you should take a break from work in itself and find a way to your source in quietness and stillness. It could be in the comfort of your room, or anywhere filled with nature's beauty. I bet, you will be refilled in no time.

Remember, in quietness and stillness lies your strength as a great leader.
